How to Change the Ringtone on a Nokia 7710
Changing the ringtone is a basic feature of any cell phone, but it can prove difficult on a complex smart phone like the Nokia 7710. Nokia has created an intuitive user interface centered around "profiles" to make manging ringtones very easy. Each profile can be activated manually or by certain events, such as a call from a certain person, and each has settings such as phone ringtone and notification ringtones.

Navigate to the Profiles menu by going to Desk and selecting "Profiles." This screen shows you all the profiles set up on your phone.

Select the profile you want to change and tap "Personalize." This will show you all the profile options that you can change for that profile.

Select "Ringing Tone" to change the audio file that is played for incoming calls. You can also change the ringing volume and whether the phone vibrates in the same menu. Navigate back to the home screen, and your ringtone will have been changed.

Tips & Warnings
Pressing the back button before saving will discard your changes. Once you're done changing the settings, navigate back to the Desk by pressing the home button (without pressing the back button).
