How to Clean Salt From Leather Boots

Leather is a durable material, but it also often difficult to keep clean. In the wintertime especially, salt can easily stain leather boots and reduce the shine and health of the leather. If you want to remove these salt stains, you can do so rather easily with a basic homemade solution. Learn how to apply the solution and keep your leather boots clear of stains.

Things You'll Need

• Water
• Plastic container
• White vinegar
• Cloth

Instructions

1. Measure one cup of warm water and pour it into a small plastic container.

2. Measure one tbsp. of white vinegar and mix it into the cup of water.

3. Dip a clean, soft cloth into the mixture and rub the salt stains off of the leather boots. Reapply if necessary.

4. Allow the boots to completely air dry before using.
