Instructions

    • 1

Use scissors to cut the milk jug in half. Start cutting the milk jug just below the handle. Cut all the way around the jug to remove the top half.

    • 2

Cut two long, skinny bunny ears out of white construction paper, each measuring about three inches wide by six inches high.

    • 3

Cut pink construction paper in the same shape as the white, with a width and height half an inch smaller, to make the inner part of the bunny ears. Glue these pieces to the center of the white bunny ears with liquid glue or a glue stick.

    • 4

Glue black pom-poms on the front of the milk jug to create eyes. Add a pink pom-pom in the center below the eyes for a nose.

    • 5

Use a foam paintbrush to paint a thin layer of liquid glue all over the outside of the milk jug, excluding the nose and eyes. Cover the liquid glue with white cotton balls to create the bunny's body.

    • 6

Cut three black pipe cleaners in half to make six small pieces. Place a dot of liquid glue on the end of each pipe cleaner. Place three pipe cleaners on each side of the nose to create whiskers.

    • 7

Glue the paper ears inside the back of the basket with the inner pink ear facing forward. Allow the glue to dry for at least one hour before using the basket.

    • 8

Fill your homemade bunny basket with Easter grass, raffia or shredded paper and add your favorite Easter treats.

Tips & Warnings

  • Adult supervision of cutting is required. Do not allow young children to use scissors unsupervised.
