All Texas Instrument Calculators are inscribed with a 10-digit (numerals only) serial code that uniquely identifies it. Finding a serial code is important when contacting Texas Instruments Customer Service to get your calculator repaired or to check if it is still under warranty. A serial number will also allow you to recover your calculator if it is lost or stolen; knowing the serial number is the only way to prove that you are the owner.
Turn off your TI calculator.
Remove the battery panel on the back of the calculator.
Look for a code like "2056054567" on the back of the battery panel. This is the calculator serial number.
