How to Polish Brass Knobs
Brass, a traditional metal with an elegant, golden, slightly reflective appearance, is often used for door knobs and fixtures. The brass largely maintains itself, however, you need to polish the brass knobs regularly as body oils, residue and other elements can leave the door knobs looking dingy. Clean the knobs with a few inexpensive cleaning ingredients. Does this Spark an idea?

Pour enough salt into a bowl to clean all of your brass knobs.

Slowly stir in white vinegar until you have formed a runny, consistent paste. The vinegar not only works as a polishing agent, it cleans and disinfects the knobs.

Dip a microfiber cloth into the paste, then rub a thin layer over the brass knobs.

Let sit for 5 minutes and buff clean with a damp microfiber cloth. This will remove the vinegar and salt paste plus restore shine to the knobs.
