Deleting your computer's address history involves clearing your browsing history. While your Web browser uses your browsing history to load webpages faster, you may need to delete your Web browsing history if you are concerned about your privacy. Some Web browsers, such as Internet Explorer (IE), give their users the option to delete their browsing history automatically on exit. In addition, most, if not all, Web browsers delete the browsing history within a specific time interval, such as every two or four weeks.

      Clear your Internet Explorer (IE) browsing history by opening the program, selecting "Tools," choosing the "General" tab and then clicking on the "Delete" button under the "Browsing History" section. Click on the "Apply" button and then "OK."

      Open Firefox. Select "Tools," choose "Clear recent history" and then select the "Clear now" button.

      Launch Google Chrome. Select the "Tools" button, choose "Options" and then click on the "Under the Hood" tab. Clear your Chrome browsing history by clicking on the "Clear browsing data" button located under the "Under the Hood" tab.
