1
Vacuum the stain with the suction tool to remove as much loose debris as possible. The rotating brush used during normal vacuuming could penetrate the stain deeper into the carpet and should not be used.
-
2
Dip a portion of a white towel into cold water. Wring out excess water so the towel is damp and not dripping. The white towel will allow you to see the progress of the stain removal by the amount of green on the towel.

3
Blot the damp towel over the stain. Do not rub the towel into the stain as this will push the stain deeper into the carpet fibers. Check the towel for areas that have turned green from the stain.
-
4
Dip a clean portion of the towel into the ice cold water. Squeeze out the water until the towel is damp and continue to blot (not rub) the grass stain.
-
5
Remove stubborn stains with a cleaner that lists a pH of 7 on the ingredients label. Apply a small amount of the cleaner to dampen the stain; blot with a clean white towel. Continue using this method until the stain is gone.
