A 2000 Nissan Maxima comes equipped with a key-less entry system that uses a remote control key fob to lock and unlock the vehicle from a distance. It also features a panic button on the remote in case of emergency. If a remote is lost or broken, a new one must be purchased and programmed to work with the vehicle. In some vehicles, this will require a trip to a mechanic or locksmith, but the key-less entry of this model can be programmed by the owner in less than five minutes.
