How to Study English Grammar
There are many ways of studying English grammar. One way of doing this is to talk with your English teacher about the areas you're struggling in. He or she can spend extra time with you after school, direct you to educational websites and lend you books that will help improve your grammar. Another idea is to get together with some classmates to go over the assignments.

1
Read more books. Particularly pick out books that are specific in teaching various aspects of English grammar such as constructing a sentence, understanding the parts of speech, meanings of synonyms and homonyms, reading passages for context clues and essay writing. You can find the books at your school or public library, the local bookstore or websites such as Amazon.com and www.powells.com.

2
Practice writing. Start by getting a diary and writing down your experiences everyday. Then take the first few pages of your diary and turn them into a short story using characters that are similar to you and your family or friends. Another way to practice writing is to write some book reviews for your school's newspaper or literary magazine. Finally, write a letter to your friends or relatives thanking them for being there for you.

Take notes in class. Write down specific information that you think the teacher may test you on in future classes. Also ask questions if you're confused about a certain topic in the discussion so you'll have better notes to go over on your own time.

Read newspapers and magazines. This gives you reinforcement of what you learned in class, and it also prepares you reading more advanced material throughout your life. When reading the articles, ask yourself what is the author's main point, what particuar words you're confused about, and what grammatical errors do you notice based on what you learned about grammar so far.
