How to Get Rid of White Out Stain
White out, or correction fluid used to cover and repair errors in ink on documents, has a slightly greasy texture, making it difficult to remove when it spills onto clothing or furniture. Treat the fabric with the proper stain removal elements that will safely remove the white out without damaging or otherwise discoloring the fabric. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Paper towels
- Water
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Pre-wash stain treatment
- Laundry detergent

Blot fresh stains with a dry paper towel to collect the white out before it dries.

Moisten a paper towel with water, and blot over the stain to draw out more of the correction fluid.

Saturate the edge of a paper towel with isopropyl rubbing alcohol, and blot over the stain. The alcohol will safely break apart the white out, lifting the stain without damaging the fabric.

If the stain is on a garment that is safe for machine washing, apply a pre-wash stain treatment. Let it sit for 30 minutes. Launder the garment in cold water.

If the fabric is not machine washable, saturate a paper towel with cold water and a drop of laundry detergent. Rub the soap and paper towel onto the stain, and repeat until the stain is gone.

Wipe once more with a clean, damp paper towel to wipe away any remaining correction fluid or detergent.
