How to Put Ink Into the Canon Pixma 1600 Printer

The PIXMA iP1600 from Canon is an affordable photo printer that produces high-quality documents and photos. This high-quality output is due to the fact that the print head for the PIXMA iP1600 contains 1,472 nozzles that ensure precise and consistent results. The ink for this photo printer is a high-intensity ink with special pigment, so when the ink is running low, it's better to replace the cartridge with a brand new one. You won't get the same results if you simply refill your old cartridges.

• New ink cartridge

Instructions

1. Turn the printer on and open the front cover.

2. Remove the new cartridge from its packaging and gently peel off the orange protective tape. Discard the tape, and do not try to put it back on once it's been removed. Avoid touching the print head and the electrical contacts on the new cartridge.

3. Insert the new ink cartridge into the slot, and gently pull up on the cartridge until you hear it click in place. The black cartridge belongs in the left slot, and the color cartridge belongs in the right slot.

4. Close the front cover, and wait for the preparatory operation to finish. This may take up to two minutes.
