How to Uninstall Windows XP Parallels


Parallels is a program for Mac, Windows and Linux operating systems that allows them to run multiple operating systems at one time with the use of virtual machines. According to Webopedia, a virtual machine is an operating environment that acts like its own computer although it is contained file. Parallels for Mac allows virtual machines of Windows operating systems to run, like Windows XP and Vista, while Parallels for Windows and Linux allows multiple virtual machines of Windows, Linux and Mac OS X run.

  • Open Parallels on your PC, Mac or Linux computer.

  • Click on the “Windows XP” virtual machine.

  • Open the File menu and select “Delete” or “Remove” from the list of options. Click “Continue.”

  • Select all Windows XP files from the list and click “Delete” and “Done.”

  • Quit Parallels and re-open it for the changes to take effect.
