How to Design Fireworks in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3
On October 26, 2004, Atari released Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. Like previous iterations, RCT3 allows players to create theme parks from scratch, micro-manage their creations, and build thrilling roller coasters. Along with the new first-person "Coaster Cam," this version features the Fireworks MixMaster, which allows players to create and sync their own fireworks show with in-game music.
Instructions
-
-
1
Click the "Scenery" button on the interface bar.
-
2
Click the "Fireworks" button. You will now see five buttons: Bases, Rotate, Load, Display and Sequencer.
-
-
3
Purchase several bases and place them around your theme park. These are the launchers that will propel your fireworks into the sky. The more bases you purchase, the more fireworks you can launch at once. Click the "Load" button to load the launchers with new fireworks or click "Rotate" to change their orientation with the ground.
If you're feeling creative, place your bases at the top of mountains or pillars to launch your pyrotechnics extra high. -
4
Click the "Display" button to open the MixMaster display. On the bottom of the screen, you will see several time lines, each representing a different base. On the left side of the screen, you will see several pre-made fireworks sequences.
-
5
Drag pre-made sequences to the base time lines with the cursor. You can place them wherever you like, though most real-world fireworks shows start slowly and culminate in an exciting storm of explosions.
Click the "Play" button on the right side of the display to preview your show as you sequence. -
6
Save your show by clicking the "Save" button. The show will activate automatically at 10 p.m. each evening, but you can change this in the MixMaster window. You can also change the song that plays during the show.
