How to Draw Anime Dog Ears
Anime dogs typically have two similar types of ear styles. These types of ears are easy to draw and can be placed on a variety of different types of dogs thanks, in part, to their basic shape. What makes the ears particularly anime is the shading you add as a finishing touch when you are done with your dog drawing.
Instructions

Pointed Ears
-
1
Draw a V-shape on one side of the top of the dog's head. The "V" should be upside down so that the point is facing up toward the top of your paper. You can make the point of the "V" as pointed or as rounded as you like. Generally, when an artist is drawing a dog that is alert, the tip of the ear will be straight and pointed. When the dog is relaxed, the ear will be softer. Of course, this also depends on the type of dog you are drawing.

2
Draw a smaller V-shape inside of the first V-shape that you made in Step 1.
-
-
3
Shade the ear by drawing three or four black lines that go from the edge of the ear toward the center of the ear. Make sure these lines don't touch the inner V-shape, though.
-
4
Repeat these steps to draw the other ear.
Floppy Ears

5
Draw a U-shape on the side of the dog's head. You can make the sides of the U-shape a little wavy to make the ear look softer. Make the waves curve around the contour of the dog's head.
-
6
Add shading to the ear by drawing three or four black lines that go from the edge of the ear toward the center of the ear. Make sure these lines don't go farther than a third of the width of the ear, and make the lines progressively shorter as they go up the ear.
-
7
Repeat these steps to complete the other ear.
