How to Make an Exfoliating Paste Out of Coffee Beans
An exfoliating paste made from coffee beans provides your skin with natural vitamin E and magnesium. The caffeine found in coffee beans helps to tone and firm your skin, remove dead skin cells and decrease cellulite. Once you make an exfoliating paste with coffee beans, you can safely use it every day. You will begin noticing results after two to three weeks when applying the paste every day. Things You'll Need
- Coffee grinder
- 1/4 cup coffee beans
- Bowl
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup sweet almond oil
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Airtight container

Use a coffee grinder to grind 1/4 cup of beans. Grind them into a fine texture and place them into a bowl.

Combine 3/4 cup of brown sugar with the coffee grounds.

Add 1 cup of sweet almond oil to the mixture. Stir the ingredients until a paste forms.

Place 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the mixture. Stir the vanilla extract into the exfoliate mixture.

Add more almond oil if the exfoliate mixture appears dry. Place the scrub into an airtight container and store for two weeks in your refrigerator.

Use the coffee exfoliating paste in the shower. Massage it into your skin using a circular motion, and then rinse it off.

Tips & Warnings
Add 1 teaspoon of your preferred essential oil to make the paste smell pleasant.
Discard the paste after two weeks and make a new batch. The paste may form mold and become unstable after two weeks of storage.
