How to Make Animal-Themed Diaper Cakes
Make a diaper cake for an adorable, yet useful, baby shower decoration. Animal themed diaper cakes work well for a baby shower that has a jungle theme. Things You'll Need
- 50 newborn diapers
- Several pieces of leopard print ribbon
- Clear tape
- Several stuffed animals
- Large bottle of baby soap
- Animal print ribbons
- Large serving platter
- Masking tape or duct tape
- Plastic animal toys

Roll up each of the diapers and hold them all in place by wrapping each with the leopard print ribbon that has been cut to fit the diapers. Secure the ribbon to itself at the two ends with a piece of clear tape.

Place a large bottle of baby wash into the center of a table.

Encircle this bottle with the rolled up diapers. The diapers should be standing on one end and placed flush against the bottle. To hold the diapers in place, tape each diaper to the next in the circle with a piece of clear tape.

Create another circle around the first circle of diapers with more rolled up diapers. Once again stand the diapers on end and tape each diaper to the next one in the circle to secure them.

Form a third circle around the second circle in the same fashion as the first two.

Wrap this completed first tier of the cake with the leopard ribbon. Tie the ribbon into a bow with the two ends. The placement of the bow will make that portion of the circle the front of the cake.

Make a second tier on the cake by encircling the bottle with another row of ribbon tied diapers. This tier will be placed directly on top of the first tier. Once again, tape each diaper to the next one in the circle to add stability.

Create another row of diapers around the first row on the second tier in the same fashion as every other circle was made.

Wrap another piece of leopard ribbon around the second tier. Do not form a bow. Instead secure the two ends of the ribbon to one another with a piece of clear tape.

Create a third tier on top of the second by creating one final circle around the top of the bottle. Fashion this circle the same way as the others.

Tape the diaper cake to a large serving platter. Use stronger tape such as masking or duct tape to accomplish this.

Place a stuffed animal on top of the cake to act as a cake topper. Secure the toy to the cake with clear tape.

Secure small plastic animal toys to the cake in scattered spots with clear tape.

Add more jungle print ribbons and small stuffed animals to the diaper cake. Once again, secure these with clear tape.

Place the cake onto the center of the tape and begin the festivities.
