How to Make a Horn Mold Out of Parchment Paper
A children's craft activity for Thanksgiving might involve making a horn of plenty out of a simple sculpting material such as Play-doh or modeling clay. Start by creating a mold out of parchment paper. You'll line the inside of the mold with sculpting material, let the clay harden and then peel the parchment paper away. Does this Spark an idea?

Tear off or cut a square piece of parchment paper.

Draw a circle on the parchment paper square.

Cut out the circle.

Cut out a "slice" of the circle, starting at the outside and cutting to the middle, then cutting at the desired angle back to the outside of the circle. Cut out a larger angle for a narrower horn, or a smaller angle for a wider horn.

Tape the two cut sides together to create a conical horn shape.

Tips & Warnings
To keep the sculpting material from collapsing the paper mold, add the layer of sculpting material to the inside of the mold and then stuff the horn with additional balls of paper or newspaper to hold its shape while drying.
