Homemade Carpet Shampoo for Set-in Stains

Homemade Carpet Shampoo for Set-in Stains thumbnail
Deep set stains don't have to take a lot of effort to remove.

Carpets generally need to be professionally cleaned at least once a year. When your carpet is heavily used and soiled on a weekly basis, plan on at least two professional cleanings a year. Until then, it is best to spot-clean your carpet until the professionals get there. Stains that are set in can be difficult to remove, and harsh chemicals are often used to clean them. For a more natural alternative, make your own carpet shampoo to combat set-in stains. Does this Spark an idea?
