How to Retrieve Yahoo Instant Messenger Logs
Yahoo! is an Internet Service Provider, offering a variety of services, including instant messaging. Newer versions of Yahoo! Messenger include voice and video chat, in addition to traditional instant messages. In many ways, instant messaging has replaced plain old telephone systems, or POTS, for the better. One unique advantage offered in Yahoo! Messenger, is the ability to recall old instant messages. This feature is called "Archive," and, if enabled, you may be able to look back on those old messages.

Tips & Warnings
Archiving may not be activated if no past messages are showing. However, you can enable future message archiving by clicking the "Yes, save all of my messages" radio button in the "Archive" window which appears after entering "Preferences."
After updating or reinstalling Yahoo! Instant Messenger, ensure the option to archive has not been deselected by mistake.
