How to Copy & Paste the URL in a New Browser Window
All web browsers display website URLs in an address bar that runs along the top of the screen. Because this address bar includes a text field filled with editable content, it is possible to copy the value within the field to your computer's clipboard. As long as you understand the proper commands, copying the URL from an open browser window and pasting it into the address bar of a newly opened browser window is a quick task.

Navigate to the URL you want to copy.

Highlight the URL contained in the address bar by single-clicking it.

Press the "Ctrl" and "C" keys simultaneously while the URL is highlighted to copy it to the clipboard. Press the "Apple" and "C" keys if you are using the Macintosh operating system.

Press the "Ctrl" and "N" keys simultaneously to open a new browser window. Press the "Apple" and "N" keys if you are using the Macintosh operating system.

Single-click the address bar in the newly opened browser window.

Press the "Ctrl" and "V" keys simultaneously to paste the URL you copied in Step 3 into the address bar. Press the "Apple" and "V" keys if you are using the Macintosh operating system.

Press the "Enter" key to open the pasted URL in the new browser window.
