How to Burn an ISO Image to a DVD on Vista
A DVD ISO image is an archive image designed to be burned onto a recordable DVD. Windows Vista does not have a native method for burning an ISO image to a DVD. There are three freely available third party applications that can be installed that will allow you to do this. ISO Recorder 3 and Magic ISO are graphical programs. The Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools provide a command line utility.

Navigate to the "C:\Program Files\Windows Resource Kits" folder in the Windows Explorer file browser.
-
15
Press the "Shift" key on your keyboard and right-click on the "Tools" folder simultaneously.
-
16
Choose the "Open Command Window Here" option. This will open a command prompt window.
-
17
Type the command "dvdburn D: file.iso" to burn the ISO image. Replace the "D:" in the command with the drive name for your DVD burner if necessary. Replace "file.iso" with the correct name of the ISO image.
