How to Clean & Disinfect Leather Products

To keep leather clean and free of bacteria, it is important to use a cleaning solution that will clean and disinfect without damaging the leather itself.

Things You'll Need

• Spray bottle
• Vinegar
• Water
• Cleaning cloth
• Leather conditioning treatment

Instructions

1. Pour equal parts of water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. The vinegar is a natural cleaning and disinfecting element that will not harm leather when diluted with water.

2. Spray the solution onto the leather surface and let it sit for 30 seconds.

3. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth to remove the vinegar solution.

4. Treat the leather with a leather conditioning treatment to revive and restore moisture to the leather. Leather conditioner can be found at any leather shop and most shoe stores and can easily be sprayed or rubbed onto the leather.
