How to Completely Delete Your History on Safari

The Safari browser, created by Apple, is a fully functioning Web browser that competes against Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Mozilla's Firefox and Google's Chrome browsers. If you would like to protect your privacy while surfing the Web with Safari you will want to delete your browsing history. History deleting can be accomplished directly through your open Safari browser.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Safari browser and wait for your default page to load.

    • 2

Click on the top menu option called "History"

    • 3

Click on the "Clear History" option.

    • 4

Press the "Clear" button in the box that appears saying "Are you sure you want to clear history." Before clearing, remember to click on the "Also reset Top Sites" box if it is not already checked.

    • 5

Click on "History" and then "Show All History." If no files show up, all history files have been successfully removed. If files still show, you can highlight them with your mouse and then drag them to the recycle or trash bin on your computer's desktop.
