Tips & Warnings
Close the sink drain with a stopper when working near a sink.
A jeweler can recommend a professional cleaning product for an antique ring.
Have a professional jeweler inspect the ring for broken or weak prongs. Replace prongs that are questionable before wearing or cleaning the ring.
Ammonia, vinegar, acids or alcohols could damage the metal of the ring and should be avoided.
Do not probe the ring with sharp objects to clean hard-to-reach places. This could dislodge the stone.
