- Padding or cushioning materials
- Packaging tape
- Marker

Place your items in a strong box with all cardboard flaps in suitable condition. Place your items into the box, wrapping each item separately to protect them from trauma. Add extra padding or cushioning inside the box to protect your items. Strive to fill all empty spacing inside the box with padding or cushioning. Include a copy of the mailing address inside the box in the event the package is lost or damaged.

Close the box and use packaging tape to seal it securely. Wrap the tape around both the top and the bottom of the box, making sure to seal all flaps adequately, especially on the bottom of the box.

Place an address label on the box or write the mailing address directly onto the box with a bold marker. Include the complete mailing address in letters large enough to read easily. Place your return address in the upper left corner. Remove any labels on the box from a previous shipment, if necessary.

Arrange for a UPS driver to pick up your package or take your package to a UPS location. Visit UPS.com and enter your information into the form to schedule a pick-up. Enter your local information to find a UPS location near you where you can take your package for shipping.
