How to Save a Word Document to HTML Format
Microsoft Word allows you to save files in a variety of file formats, including Portable Document Format (PDF), Rich Text Formatting (RTF), Microsoft Works and HTML. Saving a file in HTML format is useful for designing Web pages in Word before inserting the file into a program such as Adobe Dreamweaver or Microsoft FrontPage. HTML is also a format that anyone can view using a text editor.

Open a Microsoft Word document.

Click the "Microsoft Office Button" (or "File" in Word 2003 and earlier).

Click "Save as."

Enter a file name for the HTML file in the "File Name" field.

Choose a destination folder for the file.

Select "Web Page" from the "Save as Type" menu.
