How to Change Templates in Dreamweaver thumbnail
You can change templates in Adobe Dreamweaver.

Originally developed by Macromedia, Dreamweaver is now a part of Adobe Systems' Creative Suite of media design products. The program allows users of all skill levels to create and edit websites, using either the point-and-click Design View mode, or the Code View mode that supports the manual editing of HTML and programming code. Regardless of your preferred editing mode, changing templates in Dreamweaver is a quick process once you know how to open them.

Instructions

    • 1

      Open Adobe Dreamweaver.

    • 2

Click "Window" in the top menu bar and select "Assets" to open the Assets panel.

    • 3

Click the "Templates" category icon on the left side of the Assets panel to display the list of available templates.

    • 4

Double-click the name of the template you want to edit to open it in Dreamweaver.

    • 5

Make the necessary edits to the template page, using either Design View or Code View.

    • 6

Click "File" in the top menu bar and click "Save" to confirm your changes.

    • 7

Click "Update" when prompted. This applies your changes to all documents that inherit their structure from the template you just edited. Click "Don't Update" if you do not want to apply your changes to all of these documents.
