      Measure the largest part of your chest with a tape measure. Multiply that number by 2.5. This is the total length for your dog sling.

      Measure your dog from the top of its back to halfway down its legs. Multiply this number by two. This is the total width for the dog sling pattern.

      Draw the dimensions on some interfacing, using a pen.

    • 4

      Measure one-fourth inch and one inch down the fabric. These are the hem specifications for the sling.
