How to Get Music Notes on My Display Name

Show your love of music by putting music notes in your display name.

Instant-messaging is the perfect way to keep in touch with friends and loved ones all across the globe. Most instant messengers are equipped with various features to express your personality, such as emoticons, winks, themes and display pictures. Another way to express yourself while instant-messaging is to add symbols in your display name. If you are a music lover, placing music notes in your display name tells everyone how passionate you are about it.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Start" menu button, which is located in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.

2. Choose "All Programs" from the pop-up Start menu.

3. Click on "Accessories" and then on "System Tools."

4. Click on the "Character Map," and change the font to "Book Antiqua."

5. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the symbols. The music symbols are located in the row just above the bottom row.

6. Double-click on the music note that you want to include in your display name. You can choose between ♫ and ♪. Click on the "Copy" button to copy the note.

7. Place the cursor in the text box for your display name, and press "Ctrl" and "V" to paste it in the box.
