How to Hang Round Ring Drapes

Hang your drapes with round ring clips.

If your drapes don't have a pocket or loops at the top to thread the rod through, you'll need to use round clip rings to hang your curtains. These are simple rings, usually made of metal, that have a clip to hold the drapes in place. Once you've attached the clips, you simply need to put the rod through the rings to hang the curtain.

Things You'll Need

• Drapes
• Tape measure
• Curtain rod
• Round ring clips

Instructions

1. Measure the width of the drapes using a tape measure.

2. Divide the width by the number of rings you have. This will tell you how much space you need between rings. For example, if the width of your drapes is 100 inches and you have 10 rings, you should space them 10 inches apart.

3. Attach the round rings to the drapes. The rings will have a clip hanging from the bottom. Open the rings by squeezing the ends of the clip. Place the edge of the drape inside and let go. The ring is now attached to the drape.

4. Thread the curtain rod through the rings.

5. Hang the drapes. The method for depends on the curtain rod. Follow the manufacturer's directions for hanging the curtain rod.

Tips & Warnings

• If your drapes are heavy, you'll need to use more round ring clips than if you were using sheer fabric.
