When singing karaoke, you typically want to use sort of microphone. A microphone will not only allow your voice to carry farther but you and your friends also can hear what you are saying over the music. If you do not have an audio system hooked up with an amp and a microphone, you can use a microphone connected to your computer. You won't find this type of microphone in actual karaoke bars, but it is an adequate setup for home use.

Step 1

Plug the USB microphone into an available USB port on your computer. Switch the microphone power to "On." If a driver installation CD came with the microphone and you have not yet installed it, insert the disk and follow the prompts of the installation wizard.
