How to Install an Oxygen Sensor in a 1999 Sienna

The oxygen sensor in your 1999 Toyota Sienna helps to optimize the fuel economy and power output of the Sienna's engine. The oxygen sensor gathers information in the exhaust and sends it to the Sienna's computer. Using this information, the computer adjusts the engine's combustion-chamber air-to-fuel ratio. But oxygen sensors eventually fail and must be replaced to keep your Sienna running at its best. Replacement oxygen sensors can be purchased from most auto parts stores. Replacement of the sensor is normally required after about 100,000 miles of regular driving.
