Use social networks such as Facebook and Myspace. While not specifically designed for invitations, both of these networks allow you to create events and then send invitations directly to other users of the network. This is useful if you have no other contact information. The networks also allow others to comment on the event if you so desire.

Employ design software such as The Print Shop to create your invitations. The Print Shop offers a wizard for creating invitations that you can either print out yourself or give to a professional copy shop. You can choose from several different card designs as well.
