-
2
Wipe dirt and debris from the Gore-tex fabric with a damp rag. Use a small amount of mild liquid detergent if necessary and rinse thoroughly. Scrub heavy deposits of dirt or debris.
-
-
3
Place a Gore-tex garment in a washing machine. Add a mild liquid laundry detergent to the washing machine and set it for a normal wash cycle with cold water. Remove the garment after the wash cycle is complete and place on a clothesline to dry.
-
4
Take the Gore-tex garment to a dry cleaner to remove heavy stains from the fabric. Request that the cleaner use clear distilled solvent rinse and apply a spray-on water repellent product.
-
5
Apply a protective coat of topical water repellent treatment to garments and items that you clean or wash at home. Avoid using wash-in treatments as they can affect the ability of the Gore-tex fabric to breathe as designed.
