How to Connect Wi-Fi on an iPod Touch to a Router

Touch the "Settings" icon located on your iPod Touch. By default, it is located on the main home screen. However, if you rearranged your icons, it may appear on a subsequent screen. Swipe your finger across the display to access the other settings screens.

Touch the "Wi-Fi" entry in the settings menu.

Switch the Wi-Fi transceiver to "On" using the toggle switch. Your iPod will begin to search for available networks.

Touch the network that corresponds with your home network. If you have a password enabled on your router, the iPod Touch will prompt you to enter it.

Test your connection by opening the Safari app and navigating to a Web page.

Tips & Warnings
Switching the "Ask to Join Network" switch to "On" will cause the iPod to ask you whether you would like to join a network whenever it is in range of one.
