How to Import a Font Into Open Office Writer

Open Office Writer is an open source word processing program. It is a part of the larger Open Office suite of software, which includes a spreadsheet, database and presentation program. The Open Office software does not have its own set of fonts. Instead, it uses the fonts that are native to the operating system. In order to use new fonts in Open Office Writer, they must first be installed on the operating system. Windows users will install the fonts using the \"Fonts\" utility. Linux users place the fonts in a subdirectory of their home directory.
