How to Connect a Satellite TV With Internet Access

Get Internet with your satellite TV.

If your Satellite TV come with Internet Access, it is through the provider already. Some providers like Qwest, Comcast, Time Warner and others offer you a package deal that includes Satellite TV with Internet access. Once you know what type of service you can get, it is a matter of following steps to get the right policies and get the right type of Internet access.

Instructions

1. Call your Satellite TV or cable provider and tell them you would like to have Satellite TV with Internet access.

2. Make an appointment for your TV to be installed.

3. Wait for the installation to take place.

4. Plug your modem into the cable receiver that was left by the Satellite installer.

5. Follow the directions for your modem found in the modem's instruction book, to make sure that it is completely installed.

6. Turn on the modem and make sure the router, if you are using one, is fully hooked up and installed.

7. Turn on your computer and connect to the Internet. You might need to input a password, depending on what your cable company has set forth.
