How to Work a Motorola Bluetooth H300

Save

The Motorola H300 is a simple Bluetooth device capable of connecting to a computer or a cell phone. This Bluetooth headset does not have advanced functions like voice command recognition and multiple connection profiles, but if all you need is a simple headset, then the H300 certainly fits the bill. Even the most novice of electronics users should have no problem using the H300.

Things You'll Need

  • Bluetooth-compatible device
  • Insert a new battery into the H300. Unlike other Bluetooth headsets, the H300 is battery powered. Remove the battery door on the back of the headset (where the indicator light is), and then slide the battery (negative side first) into the headset. The H300 uses one AAA battery.

  • Enable Bluetooth functionality on your device. The H300 is compatible with all devices capable of sending and receiving a Bluetooth signal, including computers, game consoles and cell phones. The process for enabling Bluetooth functionality varies widely by device, so check your owner's manual if you are unsure of how to perform this action.

  • Put the headset in pairing mode. Press and hold the large "Call" button on the side of the headset until the indicator light stops blinking. The headset will "find" the device you enabled the Bluetooth signal on in Step 2.

  • Allow the Bluetooth headset to access your device. A notification should pop up on your device asking if it is OK for the Bluetooth headset to access the device. Once you have allowed access, a link will be made.

  • Press the button on the side of the headset to enable voice communication. Press it again to end communication. Use the volume buttons on the top and bottom of the headset.
