How to Download Rhapsody Software for MP3
From rock music to classical, Rhapsody, an online music provider, has an extensive library of music MP3 files that are easy to download and save on your computer. Once your songs are downloaded, you can even transfer the files to a media player or a compact disc. The music provider also lets you listen to music online before you buy it. Like other music providers, Rhapsody comes with its own software that helps speed up the process of searching, playing and downloading music files. The Rhapsody software is only available for the Windows platform.

Open your computer's Internet browser.

Click on the "Join Rhapsody. It's FREE" link in the Resources section of this article to access the music provider's website.

Click on the "Download Rhapsody" button.

Click on the circle next to "New Customer" if you are not currently a member of the Rhapsody music service. Click on the circle next to "Existing Customer" if you do have a Rhapsody membership.

Enter your email address in the "Email Address" box. Create a password consisting of six or more characters and enter it in the "Password" box if you selected "New Customer" in step 4. If you are a Rhapsody member, then enter the password you selected when you first signed up for the music service in the "Password" box.

Reenter your password in the "Confirm Password" box. Click on the check box next to "Contact me about upgrades, product news, and offers" if you would like to receive emails from the Rhapsody music service.

Click "Start Download". Click "Save File", "Save As" or "Save" when the "Opening RhapsodyReal.EXE" dialog box appears.

Navigate to the directory where the file was saved. Double-click on the "RhapsodyReal.EXE" file to run the software's setup program. Click "Next" when the "Rhapsody Installation" screen appears. Click "Accept" to accept the program's license agreement.

Click "Next" to accept the default installation directory for the Rhapsody software. To change directories, click "Browse" and select a different directory or drive for the software.

Click "Next" to accept the default music formats the Rhapsody software will play, or click on the check boxes next to the formats you don't want the player to automatically play. Click "Next" to install the Yahoo! Toolbar or click on the check-box next to the wording "Include the Yahoo! Toolbar" to deselect the option.

Click "Finish". The Rhapsody software is now downloaded and installed on your system.

Tips & Warnings
Once the software is installed, the media software will run automatically and let you finish creating your membership account. Rhapsody lets you listen to 25 full-length songs per month and 25 non-stop digital music channels per month. These two features are free.
