How to Hook Up a Comcast DVR Box to the Internet
If you have an active Internet connection in your home, you can connect it to your compatible Comcast digital video recorder using an Ethernet cable. The connection gives you the ability to program your DVR remotely from a computer, even when you're away from home. Note that you can only connect your Comcast DVR to a wired Internet connection--it does not support wireless connections. Also, your Comcast DVR must have a network Ethernet input on the back panel.
