How to Convert a JPEG File to a Word Document With Software
A JPEG is a static image file, and even if it appears to contain text (such as a JPEG of a scanned document), that text cannot be highlighted, copied or edited. To make changes to or copy the text in a JPEG, you'll need OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software to automatically identify the shapes of letters and convert the image into a typical text file, such as a .txt, .rtf or Microsoft Word .doc file. Many free and commercial software programs will perform OCR on a JPEG image and provide the text output.
