How to Teach Your Dog Tricks in Fable 2
Of all the friends, enemies and business associates the hero will encounter in Fable 2, there are none who will be as essential as the dog. He is a faithful companion, brave fighter and finder of hidden treasures throughout the map. Fable 2's dog also has the ability to learn some clever tricks.

1
Obtain the necessary literature. Throughout the game there are a variety of books that give the hero's dog the ability to perform various functions. Abilities range from fighting techniques to specialized tricks such as playing dead and targeted urination. Books can be purchased at neighborhood stores (Fiction Burns is a popular spot) or found in treasure chests at special locations such as Gargoyle's Trove and Bowerstone Cemetery.

Learn the correlation between the hero's expressions and the dog tricks performed. Each time the hero chooses and performs an expression from the menu, the dog responds with a technique from his own arsenal (provided the training books have been obtained). Some points of the game will call for the dog to perform a specific trick, so it helps to know what expressions to try:
Hiding the Nose: Hero performs a crude bodily function (belch or fart)
Play Dead: Hero does chicken imitation or plays dead himself
Beg: Hero begs, tries out a pick-up line or uses the "come to my place" gesture
Backflip: Hero presents a trophy or makes the hat/mustache expression
Tail Chase: Pelvic thrust, fist pump or sock puppet performance
Bunny Hop: Playing the lute, laughing, heroic pose or dancing
Roll Over: Hero offers an apology or attempts to seduce or worship a citizen
Growl: Prompted by evil laugh, threats, slapping, roaring and feigned attacks
Wave: Hero invites someone to follow, blows a kiss, gives thumbs up, dismisses someone
Targeted Urination: Hero gives the finger, does the point-and-laugh or says, "Kiss my ... ." -

Spend quality time with the dog. Rewards and punishments will help with the training program. Furthermore, the amount of attention paid to the dog directly affects how he will respond to the hero's commands and how he will behave around other people.
