How to Delete Visited Websites in the Google Search Bar

How to Delete Visited Websites in the Google Search Bar thumbnail
Keep your online activity private with Google Toolbar.

Google Toolbar provides several convenient features, including a history of the websites you have visited so you can return to them quickly. However, this feature is not always desirable, especially for people who share a computer with others and wish to keep their online activity private. You can erase the stored website history and also turn off the default setting to prevent the toolbar from recording more activity.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch your browser. Google Toolbar works with Internet Explorer and Firefox.

    • 2

Click the drop-down arrow beside the search box.

    • 3

Select "Clear History." This will delete the list of all the sites you visited. If you wish to disable the browsing history indefinitely, click the wrench tool, deselect "Store search history on my computer" and click "Save."
