Open "Start," click on "All Programs," and open the "Easy Recovery" program.

Click on the submenu at the left hand side of the screen for the task you wish to perform: "Disk Diagnostics," "File Repair" or "Data Recovery."

Select another submenu to specify the exact task you wish to perform, such as recovering deleted files, recovering formatted files or creating backups.

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete your chosen task, generally by selecting the drive upon which the program is to operate and selecting the file or files which are to be repaired, modified or backed up.
