Although it's impossible to directly transfer music between iPods, you can use a variety of software programs to take music from one iPod by way of a computer and upload it to another.

Instructions

    • 1

Download and install iPod "rip" software. This software allows you to remove audio tracks from an iPod and save them to your computer's hard drive for later access, typically through iTunes. The best software is "iRip,"offered by TheLittleAppFactory.

    • 2

Connect the first iPod with the desired music to the computer.

    • 3

Select the tracks you want to transfer and "rip" them onto the hard drive. They will automatically appear in the iTunes library.

    • 4

Eject and disconnect the iPod and connect the second iPod.

    • 5

Open iTunes and select the transferred audio tracks.

    • 6

Add the tracks to the second iPod.
