How to Download Music From an iPhone to a PC
Music that is downloaded directly to your iPhone from the iTunes Store can easily be transferred to your PC, as long as you have your iPhone USB cable and a computer running iTunes 8 or newer. Whenever you purchase music, it is synced from your iPhone to your computer, which stores a backup copy of the file on your hard drive once it is authorized for your iTunes Store account. To download music to your iPhone, you must be running the iPhone OS 2.0 software update, which allows music downloads from the iTunes Store application. As of 2010, the current version of the software update is 3.1.
