VIP passes ensure guests remember each other Preset the concert vibe by sending out invitations that are fashioned to look like concert tickets. Where the concert title would normally be, personalize the line with the reason for the party and then list all pertinent information--such as date, time and RSVP due date--below.

Create mock-ups of backstage passes using foam kits. List names of each guest on the computer using rock 'n' roll-type font. Cut out the names, glue the foam on the edges and poke a hole in each where the string will guests can slide on their 'VIP passes' as they enter.

For more choices, consider Christina Aguilera's request for Flintstone vitamins or Aerosmith's appetite for corn on the cob. Burn CDs in advance filled with rock music. If the party is to be small and with only a selective group of friends, try to personalize each disc. If the gala is more grandiose, simply burn songs based on genre or era.
