Instructions for How to Turn on JavaScript
JavaScript was developed by Netscape Inc., and while it does share some similarities to the Java platform, they are two completely different types of computer programming languages. Enabling JavaScript gives you the ability to access features on websites that use the JavaScript language. Once JavaScript has been turned on, you will be able to browse the Web with ease. Whether you are using Internet Explorer or Firefox, it is quick and simple to turn JavaScript on.

Launch Internet Explorer.

Navigate to the menu at the top of the page. Click "Tools" and select "Internet Options" from the drop-down menu. A new window will open.

Select the "Security" tab and click "Custom Level." Scroll down until you find the section named "Scripting."

Choose "Enable" under the "Active Scripting" option. Click "OK" to confirm.

Restart Internet Explorer for JavaScript to be activated.
For Mozilla Firefox

Open a new Firefox window by double-clicking your desktop icon.

Click "Tools" from the top menu, and select "Options" from the drop-down selection.

Tips & Warnings
When you upgrade your browser, you may find that JavaScript has been disabled by default. Remember to check and enable JavaScript each time you upgrade.
