Connect your laptop to an outside speaker system.

The built-in speakers on most laptop computers can leave you wanting more from the audio of the system, especially if you are playing video games or watching movies. However, there is a line-out audio port (typically used for headphones) that you can use to connect outside speaker systems, including surround sound systems, to the computer.

Things You'll Need

  • 3.5mm to RCA audio cable

    • 2

Connect the RCA cables into one of the "Audio In" ports on your surround sound receiver.
