How to Hang Bamboo Sheets & Towels on a Clothesline
Bamboo sheets and towels feel like silk against your skin and possess a high anti-bacterial and anti-fungal characteristic. The material is able to "wick" away moisture from the skin in a highly efficient manner, allowing the perspiration to evaporate into the air. Due to this attribute of the bamboo fabric, it can also air-dry efficiently after washing on gentle cycle. You cannot only dry the sheets outside on the clothesline, but this method of drying is actually recommended as a safer way of drying the bamboo fabrics over mechanical drying. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Clothesline clips (preferably those with wider, padded clips, but wooden clips will work fine)
Instructions

-
1
Remove your bamboo sheets and towels from the washing machine immediately once the washing cycle has completed.
-
2
Take your bamboo sheets and towels outside to the clothesline when the sun isn't directly overhead. The best time for air-drying your sheets and towels is mid-morning or mid-afternoon. Though you may dry your bamboo fabrics at any time, including high noon, you reduce the chances of your fabrics shrinking during the hottest part of the day.

Fold each sheet and towel over the clotheslines lengthwise so the ends aren't touching the ground. Use one clothesline clip on each of the ends, and clamp more along the fabric using one clamp every two or three feet. If you folded the fabrics over the lines, the sheets and towels have their weight supported by the wires/lines, so no more than one clamp every two or three feet is necessary.

Tips & Warnings
Check your sheets regularly for dryness, and remove them from the clothesline promptly to prevent excessive sun exposure. Too much sun may cause the coloring dyes to "sun-bleach" over time which is a natural occurrence with some dyes.
